Group or no group

 Today in class we're choosing our partners for the music video project. I was gonna be in the same group I was in for the commercial plus one other new person. I chose to be in the same group as Lili and Angie again because overall I feel as though we worked really well during the first project. Lili was really good at editing and acting. Angie was really good at creativity and helping to plan and film the video. My assumptions of them in my previous group blog were also correct.Both of them share a really good work ethic and bring something different to the table that we can all collaborate on. We were also really respectful to each other's ideas and feelings during the commercial filming. Briana Reyes is the new person who was added to our group. I don't know much about her but she is really nice. Aside from being nice she also seems like a really diligent worker and focused on schoolwork. I am a tad bit worried about styles clashing when it comes to this music video. We have a really challenging time choosing a song. It seems like we all had really different ideas and styles in this process. They ended up choosing the song "Who Said" by Selena Gomez. The problem is they did it without me and I never agreed to do this song. Problems like this make me wonder if it would be better to do the project on my own. By the next blog, I'll make the final decision of whether I want to stay in the group or not.

Production Blog - Filming Day One

Yesterday was our first day of filming. When school ended all of my group mates  went into Angie’s car, and started a very interesting mission. I wasn’t able to go with them since I had an interview for volunteering at a hospital. This made me very nervous since I didn’t want to miss out on anything but it ended up being okay. By the time I got back everyone had just started filming since they were getting some props that were needed. Right after, Aleiah was dropped off to my house and brought red yarn. A few minutes after I got there, Hannah and Lili changed outfits to athleisure. Then, everyone went outside in my neighborhood and it was time to start filming. Our first scene was the scene where Chloe and Rachel work out outside and “accidentally” bump into one another. Production Blog: Costumes

The film that my group is doing is a horror film. The interesting part about this is that there isn't necessarily a set costume for horror films. If it was a coming of age movie then there would be a better guideline for what to wear. However, people get killed wearing anything. This poses the question "what to wear during a horror movie?" It should be something easy to move in. The reason for this being because the actors are going to have to run from the killer. The film unfortunately doesn't have stereotyped characters. This means that there's no geek for example who can wear a button up for no reason. Instead everyone in the film is supposed to be a normal girl. So what do normal girls wear? My group came to the conclusion that a t-shirt and pants would be fine. Since the filming is at night, in order for our clothes to be visible everyone would have to wear a lighter color.   1 st Sheet :   The film starts with a n establishing shot of the house on which the name of the studio, “ Blue Breeze Studios” will appear. That shot t hat shows a creepy girl slowly walking through one of the windows . Soon after appears a four shot of teenage girl s , Angie, Emma, Aleiah and Lili, all hanging out in a bedroom, gossiping, when one of them , Emma, starts to distance herself from her friends and goes to the bathroom. At this moment, the name of the production company , “ A Plume Productions Film” pop s up on the lower left corner .
