Production Blog - Maybe Next Time

It was planned for today to be the second day of filming. Unfortunately this didn’t happen. Lili has an important chemistry exam to study for tomorrow, which means she won’t have time to film with the group. It was decided that filming would just not take place today because Lili is the main character and her scenes are very important. I understood her reasoning since I took chemistry in 10th grade. Those tests are very hard and do require a lot of time. Instead everyone just decided to move filming to Wednesday and wished Lili good luck on her test. The scenes that were supposed to film tomorrow were  the Publix scene, and the Starbucks scene. Hopefully, Wednesday ends up being okay for everyone and filming will actually happen. To do this, Angie proposed making sure the group is more than organized. Hannah will need to bring the right clothes, such as a black shirt, black pants, and black shoes. Angie and I would need to bring casual clothing, since both of us share the roles of  Chloe’s friends. It’s important that Angie, Lili and I remember not to wear black so Hannah stands out while filming. Props wise, Angie needs to bring the board and the frame that she had accidentally left in her car. Lili planned to print the picture needed before filming so there’s no wasted time. The pictures will be representing Chloe in the short film, and will be used to portray her as a target, or victim in Rachel’s eyes. Lili also needs to print a fake birth certificate. That will show Rachel’s obsession with Chloe, and make the audience understand her motives. I am hope that after that filming day, there could have another day of filming where everyone will record the scene that takes place at Lili’s house, where Rachel will place the picture on the board. Another scene would be the one in the mall, and that would be about it. Both of these scenes might be long and take a while, and there’s not a lot of time after school. So what I am thinking is that we will be able to film the scene of the kidnapping next week, and not forget to wear the same clothes as the day we filmed the mall scene. Finally, we should also have enough time to film the scene where Chloe sets the car on fire, which would be the closing scene. That is all for today, now all I can do is hope things go smoothly and hope for the best.
