Production Blog: Filming the Music Video

My group and I decided to film over thanksgiving break. This was recommended by our teacher and made a lot of sense. Everyone chose to film on Tuesday since Wednesday was the day before thanksgiving.  At 12 noon everyone meet up at Lili's house and was ready to film. The entire filming process was actually really fun. Briana brought her twin sister Hannah with her to film for us instead of having one of Lili's family members do it for us. The group decided to film in chronological order. This meant filming started with the first scene on the storyboard which was Angie getting a text and falling on the bed. I then had to pick up the phone and send a text back to said person. This proved to be more challenging than I thought but after about 3 takes I got it right. Throughout this entire experience there was a lot of collaboration with everyone and Hannah as she brought in a different viewpoint. The next scene filmed was the one where everyone was throwing clothes out of the closet. It took a lot of s=takes to get this scene right but it was extremely fun to do.  After that there was the couch scene which was really easy and fast. Then the makeup scene was filmed in probably 2 takes and the group went outside for the car scene. This was a little tricky and didn't turn out like the storyboard as not everyone had mics. Later everyone had lunch then filmed the pool scenes. The pool was extremely cold and it was also cold outside so that scene didn't go exactly as planned but everyone still had fun. The group even added Hannah in the music video by having her flip into the pool.
