Production Blog: First Half of Filming

Finally everything worked out and my group could start filming. The process went on as scheduled and everyone met up at Lili's house around 12:00. The day was planned to be a really one day of filming. Due to this everyone decided it would be best to meet up earlier in the day and have some fun instead of meeting later and just filming. The first thing done when everyone got to Lili's house was eat. After that there was a discussion about what everyone should start doing first. It turned out that taking the picture needed to put in the frame would be the best scene to film first. The picture played an important part so it made sense to just take it and let Lili's mother print it while the group films other scenes. While the picture was getting printed the scene with Lili waking up was filmed. Hannah filmed this specific scene and it only took about 4 takes. This was because the movie requires a little bit more acting than the music video. After this the scene where all the friends ring the doorbell was filmed. This one was challenging because I was supposed to act like I was ringing the door bell but in reality my finger had to fully cover the camera. This scene was also the first one that had dialogue in it which meant that everyone had to memorize their lines. It did take alot of tries but eventually the group got it right. Since we still had the whole day before filming started back up at sunset everyone decided to do some group bonding. Everyone got lunch and hung out at the mall. When it was time to go back to Lili's house the group became aware that we didn't have a frame for the picture needed in one of the scenes. Angie drove to the store and picked one up for us so that we could continue filming. Once the sun started to set the scene where everyone was talking on the bed was filmed. This was a very funny scene to do as everyone kept on messing up their lines.
