Peer Review Blog

My group and I just recently finished putting the final touches on our video. Getting feedback for this video is really important. Based on the feedback given my group and I will collaborate and make any changes deemed necessary. I showed the video to a group of 3 people and made sure the people weren't someone like my mom, sister, or even best friend. This is because people like the ones listed would most likely tell me that the video looked good no matter what. While it's nice, that type of feedback isn't the one that I'm looking for with this assignment. One comment that came up in each of the people were transitions. Apparently sometimes the camera switches into a new scene very sharply with nothing to blend the two scenes together. I did take note of this and am trying to figure out how to fix it. I'll have to talk to my group but it seems like everyone might need to set aside a day to film transition scenes. Another comment made was that at some points the music was louder than our voices. This was noted and seems like a very easy fix. There was also a comment made the my group was aware of before we did the peer review. The comment was about the picture scraping scene with the knife. This scene was planned to be scrapping the glass of a picture frame with a knife the stabbing it to shatter the glass. The problem with this was that the glass way really hard to shatter and no one wanted it to go flying. Due to this the picture is laying in a frame without glass and gets scratched/ crumpled. However this truthfully doesn't look the best and everyone in the group agrees. This scene will definitely be on a high priority list for scene to reshoot or add. All in all this was a great experience and I am very happy with the feedback I received
